The front gardens create a pleasant backdrop, making it nice to relax outside with quality furniture while enjoying a drink. The restaurant's ornate decor adds a unique character, and meals—including the breakfast—carry a touch of class without breaking the bank.
Corridors to some rooms show signs of age, with carpeting needing replacement and room doors appearing dated, which detracts from the overall aesthetic that the main areas offer. A significant inconvenience arose from incorrect billing practices, where multiple pre-authorisation charges lingered longer than expected, creating confusion during a stressful visit. Parking methods via a third-party can be tricky, especially if vehicle registration isn't entered immediately, risking unexpected tickets.

We had a lovely stay for two nights in a spacious and recently renovated room, with super comfy beds that really helped us relax. The hotel had a cozy lounge area and a nice garden that were perfect for unwinding after a busy day. Just a small note, the bathroom could use a little update, but it didn’t put a damper on our experience! 😊

the location was perfect, just a quick 10 min walk to town which was great. staff were super friendly, they even took care of my dog by giving him some mash potato when he was feeling unwell. room was clean and comfy, had everything we needed for our stay.
the breakfast was a bit of a letdown, food could've been hotter and there were queues to be seated. also, we waited a long time for our dinner orders which wasn't cool.

The room was warm and clean, which I really liked. The bed was comfy, but the pillows were pretty flat, so I woke up feeling a bit off. The shower was okay, but being tall, I struggled a bit with the height. it was cozy enough for a weekend stay, just need to bring my own pillows next time.

missingWrote a review on Sept 14grand decordisappointing dining menu
The hotel impressed with its grand decor and attentive staff, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The spacious, clean room offered lovely views, and the close proximity to the town centre made it convenient. the dining experience was marred by a menu that differed significantly from what was advertised online, leading to disappointment. our wine took a long time to arrive, suggesting either under-staffing or inefficiencies during busy times.

missingWrote a review on Sept 11scenic parklandample parkingdated corridors
Impressive exterior with scenic parkland across the street creates a pleasing first impression. Ample free parking makes it easy to access the hotel and head into town with a simple 10-minute walk.
Corridors feel dated, making it tough to navigate without clear signposting to rooms. The overall room experience was underwhelming. the bed felt old and the bathroom door had noticeable stains, which is less than ideal for cleanliness standards. While breakfast offers a buffet, the quality leaned toward mediocre—there could be more variety like fresh fruit or granola, not to mention the hot items were slow to replenish, leading to crowding at the buffet. The fabric of the experience falters under the weight of poorly maintained decor and the need for a deeper clean throughout the property.
